My mood board focused on cool earth tones and organic shapes to create a natural aesthetic. I explored different ideas through brainstorming and sketching, then moved to Rhino for 3D modeling. After narrowing down my concepts, I 3D printed a master mold and began pouring plaster molds. This process helped me refine my design and understand the complexities of mold making.
This project has taught me a lot of the process of mold making and the importance of attention to detail and thinking through my entire plan during the process. With my new knowledge, I better understand how to design for material and the best production method based on my design and application.
